BLS Heartcode-ACLS-PALS Bundle

This bundle package allows students to attend an initial ACLS, and an initial PALS course, in addition the student will complete the BLS Heartcode online portion so that upon successful completion of all courses the student will qualify for a BLS, ACLS and PALS certification card.  Course descriptions are listed below:

 

A strong understanding of ECG rythms and cardiac related pharmacology is required prior to attending these classes.

 

ACLS builds on the foundation of lifesaving BLS for Healthcare Providers skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR. This advanced, instructor-led classroom course highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care and immediate post-cardiac-arrest care. The ACLS course also covers airway management and related pharmacology. In the ACLS Course, skills are taught in large, group sessions and small, group learning and testing stations where case-based scenarios are presented.

Successful course completion includes demonstrating skills competency in all learning stations and passing the CPR and AED skills test, bag-mask ventilation skills test, a Megacode test and a written test. 

Course Covers:

• Key changes in advanced cardiovascular life support, reflecting the 2015 American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care

• Basic life support skills, including effective chest compressions, use of a bag-mask device and use of an AED

• Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest

• Recognition and early management of peri-arrest conditions such as symptomatic bradycardia

• Airway management

• Related pharmacology

• Management of acute coronary syndromes (ACS) and stroke

• Effective communication as a member and leader of a resuscitation team

2015 ACLS PROVIDER MANUAL:
The American Heart Association requires ALL students to bring the 2015 AHA ACLS Provider Manual to class. There are NO EXCEPTIONSYou may purchase the book when you register for the class and have it shipped to you, or pick up at our office prior to class.

It is acknowledged that the manuals are an added expense.  They are an AHA requirement that allows us to provide you with a valid AHA card at the end of your course.  You may also ask your friends, or go to your employers medical library or education department as they often have copies on hand for just this occasion!

PRECOURSE ASSESSMENT:
You are required to bring a print-out of your Precourse Assessment Completion to class. 

  

PALS:  The American Heart Association’s PALS Course is an Instructor-led, classroom-based course that enhances healthcare providers’ skills in the treatment of pediatric arrest and periarrest patients. The goal of the PALS Course is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes. The course uses a series of simulated pediatric emergencies to teach and reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation and team dynamics.

Books/ Provider Manuals:  The American Heart Association requires ALL students to bring the corresponding AHA provider manual with them to their course. There are NO EXCEPTIONS.

It is strongly suggested that you purchase your provider manual well before your course date. It is important to review the study guides, take the pre-course assessment, and just prepare yourself for the course using this manual.
